Contact status for this release
Parcelway is launching as a static educational reference. No public form, account system, comment area, newsletter, or editorial mailbox is configured in this release. That choice prevents the site from collecting personal information before an intake and retention process exists. A public correction channel can be added later with a clear privacy notice.
For an urgent question about an assessment, deed, tax bill, parcel map, certified copy, deadline, or legal requirement, contact the maintaining government office linked on the relevant state or county page. Parcelway cannot access private records, change an agency entry, expedite an order, or speak for a public office.
Prepare a correction packet
A useful correction identifies the Parcelway URL, page section, exact sentence or data field, and the date you observed the issue. Include a direct official government source that supports the proposed change and name the agency responsible for the record. If the page has moved, include both the old and new official URL when possible.
Do not send an owner’s name, personal phone number, private email, date of birth, account credentials, full deed image, or other unnecessary personal data. Redact private material before any future submission. Parcelway needs evidence about the public source and its administrative context, not a dossier about a person.
How updates will be prioritized
Safety, privacy, wrong-jurisdiction links, material source errors, and misleading statements about access will take priority. Broken official links, agency reorganizations, stale verification dates, and changed portal instructions follow. Style preferences or requests to infer a missing fee, parcel format, or online-search feature will not override the evidence standard.
An update should preserve the difference between a state directory and a direct county portal, between an index and a document image, and between a GIS reference line and legal boundary evidence. When an official source is ambiguous, the page may be narrowed or marked unresolved rather than expanded.
Questions for a public office
When contacting an assessor or recording office, provide the jurisdiction, record type, parcel or instrument identifier, relevant date, and the specific action you need. Ask about coverage, alternate identifiers, image availability, certification, fee schedule, accepted payment, turnaround time, accessibility, and whether older materials require an in-person or written request.
Keep the office response with your research log. If the answer affects a Parcelway page, preserve a public official link when one exists; private correspondence alone may not support a statement intended for every reader. The verification policy explains the publication standard.
