The Android version of the BA3 Altus Mapping Engine is now available for Android - You can download the free SDK and sample code and try it out yourself here.

The API for Android is not at 100% parity with the iOS API at this moment, but it is very close (about 90% there) and will reach parity through a rapid iterative process over the next couple of weeks. The code for the engine is a portable C++ library that is identical on all three platforms; The Java API that wraps the C++ on Android is the part that is under development. At 90% completion, the vast majority of the features in the library are now available for Android developers.
